Bridging Parade

Register Here
The Service Unit is organizing a bridging parade for all the troops bridging this year.  Since we cannot have our traditional ceremony we still want the girls to be recognized.  If you are a bridging troop and want to drive around t-town to recognize your girl scouts, please fill out the attached form.
Details
Sunday, June 7th, 2020 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

What you need to bring:  8 1/2 X 11 sheet of white paper with your troop number and level bridging from and to.  Landscape orientation is best.  Printed out or sharpie large enough for team to see through dashboard window.
Example:      Troop 1234
                  Daisy to Brownie

Be at Kumeyaay Elementary School parking lot at 2:30 pm so we can start organizing cars.  We will have sections marked off in the parkinglot and team members directing you where to park according to bridging level.  Please have your troop sign displayed in your front window upon entering.  We will start with Daisy to Brownies, etc.

You are welcome to decorate your car in GS colors with window markers, signs, streamers.  Make sure you have visibility to drive safely and not leave trash along the way.  You may want to highlight what your troop is about, for example, campers, cookie sellers.

Your troop may drive in individual family cars or carpool as long as you have permission from parents and follow hygiene protocol.

We will have a sign for the lead car in each level to display in their window.  Bring tape to secure inside your vehicle.

I will be the lead car going out and you we will follow me on the assigned route.  We will turn right out of the Kumeyaay parking lot, (u-turn) and drive West on Antigua and head South on Santo Road (left turn). We will proceed to Corporal Drive and follow circular road around to Santo Road and head North (turn right). Return to Kumeyaay parking lot.

We will return to Kumeyaay parking lot to pick up Smore's kits and some of your cookie rewards will be available for pick up.  You will re-enter the Kumeyaay parking lot, proceed to the table and have a printed troop number in the front window displayed.  We will put the rewards in your trunk to avoid contact as much as possible.  Masks and gloves will be worn by team members.

Family and friends can show their support at various viewing areas along the route such as the corner of Von's, Serra High School, Murphy Canyon Rec Center, corner of Miller Elementary School, Popeye's, Navy Exchange Mini Mart and in Corporal Dr.

If you are a non bridging troop please show you support around the viewing areas.

Looking forward to his event.
